Interchangeable cores provide flexibility for easy changes of keying by not requiring removal of lockset. Cores can be keyed and quickly changed as required. Large format cores are not interchangeable between other manufacturers. Small format cores are interchangeable between manufacturers. They can also offer increased key security by using unique keyways.
