If I can no longer order a door with wire glass, how is it possible to have a fire rated door with a window in it?
Answer:
You can still have a window in a fire rated door by using a Glass Ceramic with Surface-Applied Film. This type of fire rated glazing product can be rated from 20 to 180 minutes with size limitations depending upon application. Select IDN branches stocks vision kits with 10†x 10†and 5†x 20†viewable dimensions for fire rated doors and can special order to custom sizes for both door and borrowed lite applications.
