Question:

We have a commercial client that has an access control system in which they would like to add a cabinet into their system. What or how can I do that?

Answer:

First, determine what system are they currently using: Is it standard Wiegand Communications? If so, there are several solutions available depending on the availability to get power to the cabinet.

If power is available, you can use the plug-in transformer and the HES 660 or  RCI 3511, and then add your reader.

Alternative easier solution: Utilize the HES K100-621 battery powered, wireless lock, that communicates to an Aperio hub. It is hardwired into the existing system. This works with either (must specify at time of order) 125kHz prox (HID) or i-Class.
