Question:

I have a volunteer fire department that has an existing keypad and an electric strike. They would like the strike to remain unlocked for 30 minutes when a proper pin is entered. How do we do that?

Answer:

The ELK 960 delay timer would be a good solution. The timer delay may be set for 1-60 seconds or 1-60 minutes. The relay may be configured to be normally on or normally off. This product can also be used for door ajar challenges and it's very reasonably priced.
